The Joie I-Snug 2 Car Seat is slightly heavier than its predecessor (i-Snug) at 3.35 kg, but it still remains one of the lightest i-Size car seats on the market. The Tri-Protect™ headrest offers safety with three layers of side protection. It combines with the following bases: i-Base Encore (swivel base that allows the car seat to rotate 90º towards the doors), i-Base, i-Base lx 2 and i-Base Advance. All bases (with the exception of i-Base) are compatible with subsequent car seats, allowing for use up to 4 years of age. This car seat can be installed with the car's seat belts. It also combines with most Joie strollers and others on the market with Maxi-Cosi type adapters.
