Why you should buy the Britax Romer Dualfix 5Z Car Seat

360º Rotation

Once placed on the Vario 5Z Isofix Base (sold separately), the Dualfix 5Z i-Size rotates 360º for rearward-facing travel from 61 cm to 105 cm (recommended) or, if desired, it can be turned forward-facing from 76 cm and 15 months of age. We recommend using the Dualfix 5Z rearward-facing for the entire use of the seat, as this orientation can best protect the cervical vertebrae and head in the event of a frontal collision, the most frequent type of accident on the roads. In addition, the Dualfix 5Z rotates 90º to both sides to place and adjust the harness to the child from the open car door and can rotate in any recline position it is in.

Maximum comfort for the child
It reclines in six positions, both rearward and forward-facing. The anti-rebound bar can be adjusted by 8º to better adapt to the car seat and offer up to 10% more legroom.

Greater side protection
The soft, padded side wings act as a protective shield that helps absorb the force of a side impact, thus reducing the risk of injury to the child.

The SICT inside side impact absorption system is integrated into the seat's structure and always ready to act in the event of a collision, without the need for adjustment. The V-shaped headrest has been developed to control head movement in the event of a side collision, in addition to providing comfort. It can be easily adjusted with just one hand, at the same time as the five-point harness, to adapt to the child's growth.

5-point harness with neoprene pads
The child is secured with the five-point harness, both rearward and forward-facing, which, in the event of a collision, distributes the impact force between the five attachment points: two at the shoulders, two at the hips, and one at the central buckle located between the legs.

The soft chest pads, made of high-quality neoprene, reduce the child's forward movement in the event of an impact and provide more comfort to the five-point harness, which is easily adjusted with just one hand, at the same time as the headrest.

Secure installation
The Vario 5Z Isofix Base for the Dualfix 5Z is installed with ISOFIX and a support leg. Compatible with any vehicle seat. Base sold separately here.

Isofix with Pivot Link
The ISOFIX connectors feature the Britax Römer patented Pivot Link system, which initially directs the force of the impact downwards, pushing the seat against the vehicle seat and absorbing energy, before then moving forward more smoothly. This reduces the risk of head and neck injuries.

The height-adjustable support leg prevents the seat from rotating in the event of an impact.

Modular base system
The Vario 5Z Isofix Base is compatible with Baby-Safe PRO, Baby-Safe 3 i-Size, Baby-Safe Core, and Dualfix 5z.

Removable textile
Both the textile and the chest pads are easily removed for machine washing, without removing the harness.
