The Britax Römer Dualfix 5Z is an i-Size car seat that, fitted onto the FLEX BASE 5Z, rotates 360° for rear-facing travel from 61 to 105 cm. It combines rotation, SICT side impact protection and a five-point harness that adjusts with one hand.

360º Rotation

Once placed on the Vario 5Z Isofix Base (sold separately), the Dualfix 5Z i-Size rotates 360º for rear-facing travel from 61 cm up to 105 cm (recommended) or, if desired, can be turned forward-facing from 76 cm and 15 months of age. We recommend using the Dualfix 5Z rear-facing for the entire use of the car seat, as this orientation best protects the cervical vertebrae and head in the event of a frontal collision, the most common type of accident on the roads. Additionally, the Dualfix 5Z rotates 90º to both sides to place and adjust the harness for the child from the open car door and can rotate in any recline position it is in.

Maximum comfort for the child
Reclines in six positions, both rear-facing and forward-facing. The rebound bar can be adjusted by 8º to better adapt to the car seat and offer up to 10% more legroom.

Enhanced side protection
The soft, padded side wings act as a protective shield that helps absorb the force of a side impact, thereby reducing the risk of injury to the child.

The SICT inside side impact absorption system is integrated into the car seat's structure and is always ready to act in the event of a collision, with no need for adjustment. The V-shaped headrest was developed to control head movement in a side collision, as well as provide comfort. It can be easily adjusted with just one hand, simultaneously with the five-point harness, to adapt to the child's growth.

5-point harness with neoprene pads
The child is secured with the five-point harness both rear-facing and forward-facing, which, in the event of a collision, distributes the force of the impact among the five attachment points: two at the shoulders, two at the hips, and one at the central buckle located between the legs.

The soft chest pads, made of high-quality neoprene, reduce the child's forward movement in the event of an impact and provide more comfort for the five-point harness, which adjusts easily with just one hand, simultaneously with the headrest.

Secure installation
The Dualfix 5Z's Vario 5Z Isofix Base is installed with ISOFIX and a support leg. Compatible with any vehicle seat. Base sold separately here.

Isofix with Pivot Link
The ISOFIX connectors feature the Pivot Link system, patented by Britax Römer, which initially directs the impact force downwards, pushing the car seat against the vehicle seat and absorbing energy, then continuing forward more gently. This reduces the risk of head and neck injuries.

The height-adjustable support leg prevents the car seat from rotating in the event of an impact.

Modular base system
The Vario 5Z Isofix Base is compatible with Baby-Safe PRO, Baby-Safe 3 i-Size, Baby-Safe Core, and Dualfix 5z.

Removable fabric
