The Britax Römer Dualfix 5Z is an i-Size car seat that, fitted onto the FLEX BASE 5Z, rotates 360° for rear-facing travel from 61 to 105 cm. It combines rotation, SICT side impact protection and a five-point harness that adjusts with one hand.

360º Rotation

Once installed on the FLEX BASE 5Z (sold separately), the Dualfix 5Z i-Size rotates 360º to allow rearward facing travel from 61 cm to 105 cm (recommended) or, if desired, forward facing from 76 cm and 15 months of age. We recommend using the Dualfix 5Z rearward facing for the entire use of the seat, as this orientation best protects the cervical vertebrae and head in the event of a frontal collision, the most frequent type of accident on roads. In addition, the Dualfix 5Z rotates 90º to both sides to place and adjust the harness to the child from the open car door and can rotate in any recline position it is in.

Available in various colors, the Atlantic Green, Fossil Grey and Galaxy Black colors belong to the sustainable Green Sense range and are made from recycled PET plastic bottles. It features a mesh fabric, also recycled, in certain areas of the headrest, backrest and seat base to promote air circulation and provide greater comfort during travel.

Maximum comfort for the child
Reclines in six positions both rearward and forward facing. The anti-rebound bar can be adjusted by 8º to better adapt to the car seat and offer up to 10% more legroom.

Greater side protection
The soft, padded side wings act as a protective shield that helps absorb the force of a side impact, thus reducing the risk of injury to the child.

5-point harness with neoprene pads
The child is secured with the five-point harness both rearward and forward facing, which, in the event of a collision, distributes the impact force among the five attachment points: two at the shoulders, two at the hips, and one at the central buckle located between the legs.

Secure installation
The Dualfix 5Z's FLEX BASE 5Z is installed with ISOFIX and a support leg. Compatible with any vehicle seat. Base sold separately here.

Isofix with Pivot Link
The ISOFIX connectors feature Britax Römer's patented Pivot Link system, which initially directs the impact force downwards, pushing the seat against the vehicle seat and absorbing energy, then continuing forward more gently. This reduces the risk of head and neck injuries.

Modular base system
The FLEX BASE 5Z is compatible with BABY-SAFE 5Z, BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE and DUALFIX 5Z.

Removable textile
Both the textile and the chest pads are easily removable for machine washing, without removing the harness.
