The Ergobaby Omni Deluxe baby carrier can be used with your newborn as long as they weigh a minimum of 3.2 kg (7 lbs) and are 50.8 cm (20 inches) tall.

The Omni Deluxe baby carrier was specifically designed so that you can carry your newborn (minimum 3.2 kg / 7 lbs) without the need for an Ergobaby infant snug insert. Easy to use, the Omni Deluxe's bucket seat gradually adjusts to your baby's growth, from newborn to toddler (3.2-20.4 kg / 7-45 lbs), to support the baby in an ergonomic M-shape position at all ages. Refer to the label on the waistband or the instructions to adjust the seat according to the baby's height.

The Omni Deluxe baby carrier is suitable from birth:

• Minimum weight of 3.2 kg up to 20.4 kg (7 lbs up to 45 lbs)
• Minimum height of 50.8 cm (20 inches).

Typically, these specifications adapt from newborns up to about 4 years of age.

The Omni Deluxe carrier adapts to your baby's growth in just one step. Adjust the seat using the velcro tabs on the waistband, based on the baby's height:

• along the red lines for a baby between 50.8-61 cm (~0-3 months);
• along the yellow lines for a baby between 61-71 cm (~3-9 months);
• along the blue lines for a baby over 71 cm (~9 months +).

The Omni Deluxe baby carrier offers four positions for carrying the baby:

1. Front - Facing in
2. Front - Facing out
3. Hip carry
4. Back carry

The baby's height and developmental percentile will determine the best position to use.

• Front - Facing in: Min. 3.2 kg (7 lbs) and 50.8 cm (20 inches) up to a maximum of 20.4 kg (45 lbs).
• Front - Facing out: The baby must have good head and neck control and be taller than 63.5 cm (25 inches) - about 5-6 months. The baby's chin should always be above the top of the panel. We recommend a minimum weight of 6.4 kg (14 lbs) and a maximum weight of 13.6 kg (30 lbs) for this position.
• Hip carry: The baby must be able to sit independently and have a minimum weight of 7.8 kg (17.2 lbs) and a maximum weight of 20.4 kg (45 lbs). Generally, this position is used from 6 months.
• Back carry: The baby must be able to sit independently and have a minimum weight of 7.8 kg (17.2 lbs) and a maximum weight of 20.4 kg (45 lbs). This position is usually used from 6 months.
