Optimized seating area
The seat area has been redesigned to help reduce neck loads by up to 10%, according to internal tests carried out by Britax Römer with a Q10 dummy, representing a 10-year-old child.

Redesigned SICT
The new SICT system offers improved protection in the event of a side collision. The KIDFIX i-SIZE features a removable element, adjustable in two positions, which is placed on the side of the backrest closest to the door to minimize the distance between the vehicle and the car seat. According to Britax Römer's internal tests, SICT technology reduces the forces of a side impact by up to 40%, deforming to absorb energy before it reaches the child.

XP-PAD
The KIDFIX i-SIZE features the XP-PAD, a cushion that covers the diagonal seat belt and protects the child's neck and chest in the event of a collision or sudden braking.According to tests carried out by the manufacturer in 2019, this impact-absorbing cushion patented by Britax Römer diverts up to 30% of the energy from the child's neck and prevents cervical hyperflexion by reducing head movement. SecureGuard
