Is the carrycot compatible with any pushchair?

No. Each carrycot is designed to fit a specific chassis, via that brand's own adapters. For example, the Joie Chrome carrycot, the Maxi-Cosi Cabin or the Joolz Hub are designed for their respective pushchairs. Before buying, check the product page to confirm compatibility with your pushchair model, or ask the Bonabebe team for help.

From what age, and up to when, is the carrycot used?

The carrycot is suitable from birth and is mainly designed for the early months, letting your newborn travel lying flat, the most suitable position at this stage. It's generally no longer used from around 6 months, or once your baby starts sitting and supporting themselves, at which point you move on to the pushchair seat.

Can the baby sleep in the carrycot?

The carrycot offers a flat, firm surface, suitable for your baby to rest and sleep during outings. Even so, for extended sleep at home, we recommend a proper cot or sleep carrycot. Always follow the manufacturer's guidance on continuous use time, and always lay your baby on their back.

What's the difference between a carrycot and a cocoon (like the Joolz Hub Cocoon)?

The traditional carrycot is a rigid, enveloping structure, ideal for outings and for protecting your newborn. The cocoon is a lighter, more compact nest that fits onto the pushchair while taking up less space. Both let you carry your baby lying flat; the choice depends on how often you'll use it and how much storage space you have.

Can the carrycot be used inside the car?

Most pushchair carrycots aren't approved for use in the car. To travel by car with your newborn, you should use a car seat or infant carrier approved under the R129/i-Size regulation. Always check on the product page whether the carrycot has car-use approval before using it in the car.

Is the carrycot included with the pushchair, or sold separately?

It depends on the product. Some pushchairs include the carrycot in the set, while in other cases, such as many Babyzen YOYO or Maxi-Cosi carrycots, it's sold separately as an add-on. Always check the contents shown on the product page before ordering.
