The Nuna TRVL Lx is extremely easy to store and transport — it even has a shoulder strap! It comes with a rain cover, a storage bag for travel, a bumper bar, and a footrest, making it complete from the start. It's a practical choice for everyday use.
If you wish to use it with a carrycot or car seat, specific adapters will be needed. However, these adapters are compatible with Nuna's Arra and Lytl carrycots. As for car seats, you can use models from Nuna, BeSafe, Britax Römer, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, and Joie. This means there's a lot of flexibility depending on the brand you already use.
Dimensions and Weight of the Nuna TRVL Lx Stroller
This baby stroller supports up to 22 kg and has a basket with a capacity of 4 to 5 kg — ideal for essential items. The seat is shorter (44 cm high), which may not be the most suitable for taller children, meaning that if we consider this stroller as a second stroller, its use will be more limited.
With a width of 35 cm and a depth of 20 cm (33 cm with footrest), there is enough space for a comfortable ride.
The harness of this stroller features an easy and practical adjustment, as expected in models of this category. Simply grasp and pull down to adjust to the child's ideal height. Additionally, the harness has a three-point connection, ensuring safety and comfort. Furthermore, Nuna has included an intelligent solution with magnets, making the harness extremely easy to fasten.
The Nuna TRVL Lx seat is highly padded, ensuring exceptional comfort for the child. Additionally, the fabric used is of very good quality. However, one disadvantage of this model is that the seat is not removable, which can be an inconvenience in second-hand cars, where ease of cleaning is essential.
However, if you really like the Nuna TRVL Lx, there's a simple solution: you can opt for a liner, such as the AeroMoov, which promotes air circulation and can be easily removed for machine washing. This way, you can work around the situation, although an additional accessory will be needed.
Protection and Comfort on the Go with the Nuna Trvl Lx
Analyzing the positions of the Nuna TRVL Lx stroller, we can observe that in its most upright position, it is not completely vertical, but has a slight recline. Although it does not reach a 90º angle, which would be ideal for smaller babies who prefer to sit very upright, this position is still comfortable for everyday use.
If you prefer to recline, simply pull the small button, allowing you to adjust the stroller easily and effectively. When reclined, the seat offers a completely flat position, which is a great advantage, as some models we analyzed previously do not have this feature.
Additionally, ventilation is optimized thanks to the mesh that allows air circulation, providing greater comfort on hot days.
When it comes to the canopy, the Nuna TRVL Lx features an XL canopy, which can be easily extended to provide more shade, essential for strollers used in summer. Additionally, the canopy also has side ventilation, further improving air circulation.
Comfort for Parents in the Nuna Trvl Lx Stroller
The handle of the Nuna TRVL Lx is high and comfortable, which facilitates driving, especially for taller parents. Still, shorter people can maneuver the stroller easily by simply adjusting their position by moving their body slightly back. Furthermore, the stroller stands out for its excellent maneuverability.
When closing, the process is simple and practical: just move the side handle, press the button and the stroller closes automatically, standing upright. Although it is not approved for airline cabin, it closes very easily. When closed, it measures 70 cm in height with armrest (60 cm without), 54 cm in width and 36 cm in depth.
The rear wheels are 21 cm in diameter and the front wheels are 16 cm, which is slightly larger for this segment. The total weight is 7.49 kg — a little above average, but still easy to transport.
It also features a carrying strap, although its practical utility is limited, as the way it is used is not the most intuitive — some improvisation may be needed to make it truly functional.
Practical Opening and Integrated Suspension in the Nuna Trvl Lx
Opening the Nuna TRVL Lx is simple and intuitive: just slide the handle used for closing, press, and the stroller opens easily. Thus, it becomes practical for daily use, even with just one hand.
Regarding suspension, this model features rear suspension, which contributes to a smoother ride. Additionally, the brake is a positive point worth highlighting. Unlike many strollers in the same segment, the Nuna TRVL Lx includes an open-toe friendly brake — meaning it can be easily locked and unlocked with a simple tap, without damaging footwear.
The wheels have an above-average diameter for this segment, which facilitates mobility. However, the material quality is not soft rubber, which means it may not offer the extra comfort level provided by wheels with greater impact absorption.
From Birth: Carrycot or Car Seat with Nuna TRVL Lx
To use the TRVL Lx from birth, the Nuna Lytl carrycot is the lightest and most practical, coming with useful accessories such as sun protection, side ventilation, and storage space. You can also use the Nuna Arra carrycot, which fits the same adapters (sold separately).
Alternatively, the stroller is compatible with car seats from brands Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, Joy, BeSafe, Britax Römer, Cybex and Besafe, as long as you use Nuna TRVL adapters. However, avoid using the car seat for long strolls, as the Nuna Trvl Lx was designed for the car, not for the baby's daily comfort. Whenever possible, opt for the bassinet.
Conclusion
The Nuna brand developed the TRVL Lx with toddlers in mind, but with the right accessories, parents can adapt it from birth. Although the brand Nuna is known for its quality, this model, priced at €499, may not offer the best value for money.
Some essential details are missing to justify the price: better quality wheels, more effective ventilation in the seat, and greater structural stability. Furthermore, this stroller has a considerable size, which can hinder mobility in urban settings.
