I have a car, I have a baby car seat, and now I also have the baby in my arms! What a delight and what fragility. Although I thought everything was ready, doubts arise about how to put the baby in the infant car seat or baby carrier simply and safely?
Warnings! When the baby car seat comes from a previous baby
Let's start with the warnings, which are just as important when the infant car seat/baby carrier has been used before:
- The baby car seat should have harness pads in the arm and shoulder area, and the closed part of the pads should be in contact with the baby's neck.
- Ensure you have all the newborn inserts for the baby car seat.
- Make sure the harness on the center point of the baby car seat is in the newborn position.

Often, we are given a car seat that was adjusted for a previous baby who stopped using it when they were older. At that time, inserts were no longer needed, and the baby car seat harness had to be extended. Therefore, before putting your newborn baby in the car seat, it is very important to ensure that the infant car seat/baby carrier is prepared for a newborn. Follow the warnings above so that the infant car seat/baby carrier is ready to receive your baby!
Extra warning!

Typically, before putting the baby in the infant car seat, how is the baby usually dressed? Quite a lot! To ride in the infant car seat/baby carrier, the baby should only be wearing a babygrow. Therefore, before placing the baby in the car seat, it is essential to remove blankets and jackets.

Never place blankets between the harness and the baby's body! To ensure the baby doesn't get cold, after properly installing them in the baby car seat, we can put their jacket on backward or cover them with a blanket.
Warnings given... Let's go to the step-by-step guide for putting the baby in the baby carrier!
